Sodium Silicate is a liquid material that can be mixed with sand to form a core. It is an easy binder to use because it is a "no bake" product that doesn't require a drying oven. This core binder is NOT PURE SODIUM SILICATE, but rather a mixture of sodium silicate and other materials that promote breakdown of the core with heat. This action is necessary to allow the core to be removed from the casting.
